At Impala we want to help everyone reach their longer-term career goals.
And a big part of that involves internal career mobility; whether thatβs an internal move upwards, or even laterally, within Impala.
So if there's a role you'd like to consider moving upwards or sideways into, please follow the steps outlined below.
Current and Upcoming Hires.
Impalans can keep an eye on roles we're currently hiring for on our Careers Page or our dedicated internal careers page.
Impalans can also keep an eye on planned upcoming roles, on our Hiring Plan tracker, which is shared openly with all Impalans.
How to apply
Found a role you're interested in moving into internally?
- π£οΈ You should first have a chat with your current manager. Especially if the role you're interested is a lateral move - More on this below. If you feel uncomfortable speaking with your manager let the People Team know, we are here to help!
- π€ You should have a chat with the Hiring Manager or Talent Team next, advising them of your interest in applying. You can find out the Hiring Manager or by asking the Talent Team.
- βΉοΈ The Hiring Manager or the Talent team will provide you with more specific requirements and expectations of the role. They can advise a bit more about the role, beyond the external facing JD, so you can feel confident in your decision to apply.
- π If the role is one we're currently hiring for, you'll be directed to the external application link to apply. You can find this through our careers page, or else the hiring manager or talent team can send it through to you.
- Please make sure you apply using your impala email address and uploading an up-to date CV! Need a hand brushing this up? The TA Team can help.
- (If the role is not one that we're currently hiring for (but is rather a future role that you've seen in our hiring plan tracker); we'll just make a note of your interest for when the role does eventually open.)
- π Submit your application, including CV and cover letter online through the external application link.
- π©π½βπ» You'll be interviewed via the same process, with the same questions, as external candidates (minus the 'Culture Chat', as we want to ensure your internal application remains confidential if you want it to). More on the interview process for internal applicants below.
